Cotxe Oficial (Official Car) and MAC(Contemporary Art Museum), are both part of a series of cut-outs under the title Sèrie Construció (Construction Series). They are printed in DIN A3 size paper, with a grammage that makes it easy to cut, fold anf fix the pieces together. These works of art permit the construction of a paradox: an endless pursuit around an official car or around a Contemporary Art Museum building, that is, going endlessly round and round.
The mise en scène of this set reminds of the animating characters of the Warner, because of the absurd connotations, and also reminds of the Theatre of the Absurd, because of its critical approach.
Just like in cinema, in the rest of the artistic fields it is a rule that a work of art is defined not only by what it shows, but also the way ti shows it. The Construction series shows a collection of settings in which two characters run ad anfinitum. Only two characters for all the settings.
And if I think of all the settings, it is because behind the Construction Series appears a Balzac-type ingenuous commitment to build a contemporary Human Comedy. That explains why the 150g. paper where the images are printed can be cut, folded and fixed in order to create a third dimension and the result is extremely fragile.
The copyleft license grants permission to use and distribute this work indiscriminnately, therefore you may cut, fold and fix the pieces together following the model or not, and you may appropiate the images in order to modify or enhance them, or not.
