N/T (Four males) is
a collection of four cards made from photographs of stags -taken in the
Berlin Zoological Museum- and postcards of mountainous landscape. While
in the museum, it was easy to think about two things: one is the
relationship between the photographer and the taxidermist as preservers
of the memory and their capacity to trascend physical death. The other is the story of Acteon: a hunter victim of his sights, his desire. A hunter that became the catch, devoured by his own pack of hounds. The beauty and contemporaneity of this story lie in its crudeness. |
